With bright color palettes and whimsical gestures, my work addresses themes of nostalgia, femininity, and domestic spaces through a fogged over and sun-bleached lens. I am concerned with building scenes of strange familiarity, veiled with a hazed detachment. 

While developing these pieces, I prioritize incorporating elements of nostalgia such as longing, intangibility, ignorance, solace, and rumination. When thinking about nostalgia, consequently comes the recollection of girlhood and the forces that exist within it. These ideas, paired with images inspired by my Southeast Texas upbringing, coincide to build a unique iconography that continues to reveal new meanings to myself everyday.
