During the month of February, Vivid Art Gallery will be hosting an exhibit of Matthew Schaefer’s work. Please note that during the month the gallery will be open on Saturdays only.
On Friday, March 6th, we will be hosting an art opening for featured artist Sheila Arora.
Vivid Art Gallery is hosting a special exhibit of new work by represented gallery artists throughout the month of December entitled “Art of Giving.” Please note that we will not have a First Friday opening for this show. In addition to the featured exhibit at the gallery, 10% of proceeds from all gallery sales during the month of December will be donated to support the New Trier Township food pantry during the holiday season. Stop into the gallery and support the community while gaining a beautiful work.
The exhibit will feature a collection of work by a number of the gallery’s local artists. These include:

Each artist is exhibiting work that brings a unique, contemplative quality and reflects the natural beauty of the world, most notably the changing seasons, whether it be the stillness of winter or the varying colors of fall.
Don’t miss your chance to see this beautiful, mesmerizing work! The gallery will be closed for the year beginning on Wednesday, December 24th, resuming business hours on January 3rd on Saturdays only throughout the months of January and February. Full gallery hours will resume on Tuesday, March 3rd.

On Friday, October 3rd, we will be hosting an art opening for featured artist Debra Delbecq.
On Friday, September 5th, we will be hosting an art opening for featured artist Patricia Dolan.

On Friday, May 2nd, we will be hosting an art opening for featured artist Larry Simon.
On Friday, April 4th, we will be hosting an art opening for featured artist Allison Svoboda.
During the month of March, the gallery will be hosting an exhibit for featured artists Izzy Cho and Lainey Peltier. The gallery will be hosting an art opening for the exhibit on March 7th from 5-7 PM. The joint exhibit, entitled “Echolocation,” focuses on the similarities in the process that each artist utilizes.
During the month of December, we will be hosting an exhibit for special local exhibitor Erin Kaya. We will hold a First Friday opening on December 1 from 5-7pm. As the exhibit approaches, we’ll have more information, so please check back!
On Friday, November 1st, the gallery will be hosting an art opening for Featured Artist Jane D’Angelo. D’Angelo is a Northfield artist who creates beautiful landscapes and still lives; her trademark is her wonderful use of light and shadow. Be sure to stop in to see her show!
On Friday, October 4th, the gallery will be hosting an art opening for Featured Artist Susan Jacoby. Jacoby is a Winnetka artist who creates abstract landscapes that depict nature, including bodies of water, rolling hills, and forests.
On Friday, September 6th, the gallery will be hosting an art opening for Featured Artist Tamar Kander. Kander is based near Bloomington, IN, and creates striking mixed media work that she sees as a metaphor for experience and an expression of what she sees and feels. Please be sure to see her exhibit!
During the month of August, we will be presenting a show of new work by gallery artists. The gallery will be hosting a First Friday on Friday, August 2nd, from 5-7 PM.

On Friday, July 12th, the gallery will be hosting an art opening for represented artist Matthew Schaefer.
Schaefer, an Evanston artist, creates large-scale figurative work in the Abstract Expressionist style.
On Friday, June 7th, the gallery will be hosting an art opening for Featured Artist David Keel. Keel is a Chicago artist who creates mixed media and acrylic based work that often focuses on nature and water scenes.
On Friday, May 3rd, the gallery will be hosting an art opening for Featured Artist Amie Campbell. Campbell is an artist from Bloomington, IN who creates brilliant, vibrant paintings that reflect the beauty of nature.
On Friday, April 5th, the gallery will be hosting an art opening for Featured Artist Julie Cowan. Cowan is an Evanston artist who creates lithographies that depict distorted scenes, including flora, architecture, and portraiture.
On Friday, March 1st, the gallery will be hosting an art opening for Featured Artist Brigitte Wolf. Wolf is based in Chicago, and creates striking abstract work. Please be sure to see her exhibit!
On Friday, February 2nd, the gallery will be hosting an art opening for special exhibitor Izzy Cho. Cho is an emerging Chicago artist, having recently graduated from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Cho creates print, sculpture, and installation artwork that engages with ideas related to her Korean-American identity.

On Friday, October 6th, the Hubbard Woods Design District will host its annual Art Walk event. Each store will be showcasing the work of a local artist, as well as offering special promotions and refreshments. Live music will also be playing throughout the district. At Vivid, we will be hosting an art opening for Featured Artist Larry Simon. Don’t miss this unique event!
On Friday, September 8th, we will be hosting an art opening for Featured Artist Patricia Dolan. Due to the Labor Day holiday, this opening will take place on the second Friday of the month.
