Based in Chicago’s North Shore, artist Patricia Markos Dolan takes an intuitive approach to her process. There is a vulnerability and spontaneity to her work, rooted in expression and surrendered to the present moment, devoid of ego and at ease with the uncertainty of where each painting will take her. Her works, rendered in oil on canvas, are pulsing with the rhythm of life, each an adventure and a reminiscence, rooted in her lifelong visits to the Aegean coast, its colors and culture.

Dolan has studied at the Art Institute of Chicago and is currently a member of the North Shore Art League, Evanston Art Center, AIC, CAVA,Norton Museum of Art -PB, Armory Art Center -PB, and the Athens School of Fine Arts.
Dolan’s work has been part of group and solo exhibitions for over a decade and has been featured in publications such Sheridan Road magazine.

Her paintings can be found in well-respected private and corporate collections across the country, from New York to Palm Beach, Chicago to Washington, D.C., and as far afield as Greece and France.
